Easy Symphony Bar Fudge

A friend of mine shared this recipe with me. I tried it out for the first time today. It is super easy to make, and you know anything with a Symphony bar in it has to be good.

Here is what you will need...

3 large Hershey's Symphony Bars (We used the blue one with the Almond and Toffee Chips because that is my all time favorite candy bar!)

1 Pint Whipping Cream

4 Cups Sugar

2 Cubes of Butter

Cut up and cube the butter and set it aside. In a big bowl break up the candy bars and set aside. On the Stove cook sugar and whipping cream to soft ball stage. Do not over cook. Turn heat off, and add butter and stir until melted. Dump this into big bowl with the chocolate bars, and stir until the chocolate is melted. Pour mixture in a cake pan and cool.

My husband said next time I make it he wanted me to add nuts into the mixture. He is a little nuts but I think it would add texture and I am sure it would taste great. Enjoy!

Ginger Bread House

We went to the store today and came across a Ginger Bread House kit. Brandon and I decided that is sounded like fun so we got one for the kids. The kids loved it. Brandon did all the icing and we let the kids put on all the candy decorations. Peyton and Kai had a blast. It was a little messy but a lot of fun. We decided that we are going to make it a family tradition to make a ginger bread house every Christmas as a family. That is the great thing about Christmas, we all has traditions that give our families great memories. Almost all of my fondest memories of Christmas are tied to the traditions of my family. I want to make sure my children's Christmas is littered with little traditions that they can share with their families when they have children of their own.
