Baked Farmhouse Chicken

I am super excited to share this one with you. I wanted to try a new recipe tonight so I came across this one. It was so good and so easy! This is the ingredients that you will need to make this masterpiece.

4 skinless, boneless, Chicken Brests

1 egg

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon vegetable oil

1 cup bread crumbs

1/4 cup flour

3 tablespoons butter

4 thin slices of ham

4 thin slices of swiss cheese

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of waxed paper or plastic wrap and pound with a meat mallet. Combine egg, salt, pepper, and oil in a shallow bowl. Mix well. Place the bread crumbs on a piece of waxed paper. Place flour on another piece of waxed paper. Dip chicken in flour, then egg, and then bread crumbs. Pat lightly so the curbs stick.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken. Cook chicken, turning once, until browned, about 10 minutes.

Arrange Chicken in a medium baking pan. Top each piece with a slice of ham, then a slice of cheese. Bake until ham is hot and cheese is melted and bubbly, about 10 minutes.

We really liked this one. I am sure this is going to be on the short list of some of our favorite things to fix. It is not only easy but it is delicious. It reminded me a lot of the Malibu Chicken at Sizzler. Next time I think I would mix some Miracle Whip and mustard together and have a yummy dip to dip the chicken in. I give this one a five out of five on the Blind Mom scale. If you try it make sure to leave a comment and let me know how you like it.
