Elf on the Shelf: Day 8, 2012

Kai has become our little Elf Finder. He is the first one out of bed, usually by 6 am. He is just so excited to be the first one to find our little Elf. Today Kai found Kevin in the kitchen, and he was not alone.

Apparently Kevin has a new suit and an Elf size iPhone. From the looks of things he also has made friends with Peyton's Brave doll. Peyton said they look like they are on a date. Maybe he has a thing for fiery red heads.

Kai got a good laugh that the Jazz bear climbing over the boxes to get his paws on our little Elf and his date. Who knows what will happen next with our little Christmas Elf.

Elf on the Shelf: Day 7, 2012

When the kids woke up today they found a gift under the tree. Kevin our Christmas Elf brought them a Gingerbread House Kit from the North Pole. This will be the third year in a row that our Elf has dropped off a Gingerbread house for the kids. It is always a good Family Home Evening  activity that the kids love.

It took the kids quite a while to find Kevin. He did a good job blending in. It is so much fun to see how excited the kids get when they find him. The only problem I have with this little Elf is the fact that Kaison gets up before 6 am every day to find him. He turned on all the lights in the house and gave the house a good search. Then he came and climbed in bed by me and went back to sleep. I love that he wants to find Kevin first but I wish he would sleep in a bit.

Elf on the Shelf: Day 6, 2012

Well our Christmas Elf Kevin decided to hide in our room last night. Kai was up again just before 6 am turning on all the lights in the house looking for him. He looked for at least half an hour before giving up. Peyton finally woke up at 7 am and then they both searched the house looking for him before they gave up.

It was little baby Carter that found our Elf Kevin today. Brandon was holding him and was walking out of the room when the baby caught a glimpse of him and started to point and giggle. Kevin was hiding behind my wedding bouquet that we have hanging in an arraignment in our bedroom.  It is so fun to see Carter getting in on the fun. I think he has seen the other kids get so excited about Kevin and just knows that is how it should be.
